Since its inception in 2008, Tadweer (Abu Dhabi Waste Management​ ​Center) achieved a remarkable growth and progress, with great strides into the effective and safe management of waste. Complying with the highest international standards in a significantly deve​loping sector, the center is tremendously putting efforts into institutionalizing a new and state of art waste management system, which preserves the natural resources to ensure sustainable future for the next generations.

In line with Abu Dhabi Government’s plan, and in order to keep up with the efforts of enhancing the services offered by the Emirate, the center was keen to develop and implement sustainable and integrated programs and systems that keep pace with the global advancement in waste management.  We have achieved excellent and tangible results by implementing plans aimed at modernizing and developing the waste management process in different concerned sectors in the Emirate. We have also adopted the best public health pest control approaches and methodologies, thus contributing in the Abu Dhabi Government’s strategic goal of sustaining the environment and optimally utilizing the natural resources.

In addition to the mentioned results, the waste management projects and the plants developed for implementing them; were able to transform waste management from an exclusive service project to an industrial one. By using sustainable and integrated systems that comply with the best international standards, Tadweer seeks to align its core objectives to support the vision of the emirate of Abu Dhabi.​
